disappointingly poor response to our correspondenceSince we first learned that our village is at risk of being swallowed up by a dirty great quarry, I have been sending dozens of letters a week to organisations that are both directly and indirectly involved with the MIN93 proposal and the mineral extraction industry in this part of the country.

Some of these organisations and individuals have taken the time to answer my letters and offer advice or address our worries and concerns, and for that I am extremely grateful.
However, a number of organisations and individuals are either ignoring my letters, or else just refusing to respond to correspondence.

I find this very disappointing, as I'm not trying to trick or embarrass anybody. I simply want to give everybody a chance to have their say, put across their side of the story and paint an unbiased picture.

The following list shows who I have written to or tried to establish communication with, who has replied, and who has so far refused to enter into dialogue.

replied Norfolk County Council
replied Savills Land Agents
has not replied Mr Cunnington, the land owner
replied Middleton Aggregates
replied Frimstone
has not replied Lafarge
has not replied Tarmac
Bat Conservation Trust
has not replied Highways Agency
has not replied Environment Agency
has not replied British Museum
replied Mr Stephen Fry
has not replied RAF Marham
has not replied Ministry of Defence
replied Mr Henry Bellingham MP
has not replied RSPB
has not replied BBC Springwatch
has not replied Kings Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council
has not replied Freebridge Community Housing

There's an awfull lot of red crosses in that list.
Why won't those organisations and individuals talk to us? What have they got to hide?
